MARLI KOEN
MEET
I’m drawn to QUIET, unguarded moments that don’t call attention but tend to stay with you.
I photograph weddings through a documentary approach, working with what's already there rather than directing it. I pay attention to light, timing, and the small shifts that often go unnoticed. I'm interested in preserving the feeling of a moment, not changing it for the sake of a photograph.
Outside of weddings, I'm drawn to analogue film, architecture, art and the quiet beauty of everyday spaces. Those influences shape the way I see light, composition and the subtle details that often become the photographs people return to most.
I take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can work slowly and attentively.
If this way of seeing resonates with you, we’ll likely align.
