MEET
MARLI KOEN
I’m drawn to quiet, unguarded moments that don’t call attention but tend to stay with you.
I photograph weddings as they unfold, working with what’s already there rather than directing it. I pay attention to light, timing, and the small shifts that often go unnoticed. I’m not interested in perfection, only in how a moment feels while it’s happening.
Outside of weddings, I’m influenced by film photography, art, architecture, and the quiet order of everyday spaces that favour simplicity, structure, and restraint.
I take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can work slowly and attentively.
If this way of seeing resonates with you, we’ll likely align.
