I’m interested in how a wedding reveals itself beyond its central events.
My approach is documentary and observational. I work with what is already there, paying attention to how people respond to one another, how a space changes as the day unfolds, and the moments that happen just outside the obvious ones.
My work is to discover what is there, then shape what I find into a visual narrative. I consider how individual photographs sit alongside one another, allowing their relationships to reveal a fuller account of the celebration. The final gallery is a considered interpretation of your wedding: not simply what happened, but how its people, places and moments belonged together.
I work across digital photography and 35mm analogue film, each bringing a different quality to the way a story is told. My interest in architecture, art and the quiet character of everyday spaces continues to inform how I see light, composition and detail.
I have photographed weddings full-time since 2013, working with couples across Cape Town, the Cape Winelands and Tulbagh Valley. I take on a limited number of celebrations each season, allowing considered attention from the initial conversation through to the final edit.
