Documentary
wedding photography rooted in presence.
I photograph weddings through movement, light, and quiet in-between moments.
No directing. No interrupting.
Just attention.
-
As a documentary wedding photographer, my approach is intentionally unobtrusive. I believe the most honest images are born from presence, not orchestration.
It means your wedding day isn't interrupted by constant direction, long photo sessions or moments recreated for the camera. Instead, I move quietly through your celebration, observing rather than directing, documenting the emotion, connection and small in-between moments as they naturally unfold.
You remain free to experience your wedding as it happens, fully present with the people you love, knowing those fleeting moments are being preserved with care and honesty.
I work across digital, analogue film, and motion film.
Each medium carries atmosphere differently.
-
I shoot weddings using a mix of digital, 35mm format analogue film, and Super 8 motion film. Each format sees the day a little differently. Digital offers flexibility and reliability, while film brings a softness, depth and organic character that's difficult to replicate.
Everything I document is delivered to you in a private online gallery. You will receive high-resolution digital files right alongside your processed film scans and motion reels, which you can download and print worldwide. Whether you are planning an intimate day in Cape Town, a wedding in the Stellenbosch Winelands the Tulbagh Wine Valley, or a multi-day destination celebration in South Africa, the goal is simply to preserve the day as you experienced it.
Some moments can’t be recreated.
They are lived once, in passing.
That is where I work.
